Skin Tightening - How Laser Treatments Firm Your Face and Stomach

Skin Surgery:

Loose sagging skin on our face, stomach, arms and other areas is very distressing to many of us. Loose skin or integument (integument - healing term for skin) makes us look old and out of shape, no matter how hard we work out and try to stay fit. In the past, sufficient skin tightening required plastic surgical procedures like face lift and tummy tuck. However, in the past few years, many new non-surgical and laser skin tightening methods have been developed. The new skin tightening technology has been steadily getting better as the machines improve and as doctors learn how to maximize the results achieved.

Today, often using a combination of dissimilar methods, titanic skin tightening can be achieved without surgery, a very dissimilar situation than just 3-4 years ago when Thermage, Titan, Refirme, and LuxIr Deep were introduced. There are many skin tightening advertisements that can be misleading, so you really need to be an informed consumer and understand the technology if you are going to accomplish the supervene that you desire. Below I will elaborate how the new skin tightening technology works and which methods are the best.

How Non-surgical Skin Tightening Works

Skin Surgery:Skin Tightening - How Laser Treatments Firm Your Face and Stomach

Tight, firm skin requires good elasticity. Elasticity means the ability of the skin or integument to snap back or tighten after it has been displaced or pulled away from the body. Good elasticity depends on salutary collagen and elastin fibers that lie very deep, near the bottom of the dermis, the deep layer of our integument below the surface. Collagen and elastin fibers act like small rubber bands that hold the integument tight against our body, and pull the loose tissue back when it is stretched or pulled.

Aging, sun damage from ultraviolet (Uv) light, smoking, stress, excessive alcohol intake and an unhealthy diet and lifestyle all destroy collagen and elastin in the epidermis and cause the integument to loosen and sag. Stretching caused by fertilization or rapid weight loss after dieting or gastric bypass surgery also destroys collagen and elastin in the epidermis and results in sagging and loss of tone.

All laser and non-surgical skin tightening methods work by stimulating the increase of new collagen and elastin in the dermis. When you heat collagen and elastin to 66 degrees centigrade, the collagen and elastin fibers shrink or tighten, and are remodeled with new collagen and elastin formation. The supervene of this skin tightening and new collagen and elastin formation is that the deep epidermis contracts and becomes firmer and the loose tissue is tightened.

The elastin and collagen lie very deep in the dermis, and the major challenge is to get adequate heat deep down in the epidermis to remodel elastin and collagen without burning the covering of the integument as the heat passes through the more superficial layers.

This has been finished by using very sufficient cooling devices that cool the covering while the heat power is passed through the covering on its way to the deep dermis. Machines that have this ability are the Palomar LuxIr Deep, Thermage, titan and Refirme to name a few.

A newer formula applies heat to the deep layers from underneath. New laser liposuction technology like SlimLipo uses a small laser cannula settled under the integument to melt fat. The heat also causes contraction and firming of the overlying loose tissue. This technique has been very sufficient for the tummy and neck or duplicate chin.

Laser Skin Tightening

Old time Co2 and Erbium laser resurfacing did effectively tighten loose tissue. However, salvage was very difficult with lengthy healing time, continued flush and hypo pigmentation or loss of color after the procedure. These techniques are no longer widely practiced.

New fractional laser resurfacing techniques are a great improvement. By fractionating or breaking up the laser into many small beams, untreated areas are left to speed healing and complications are less common. The new fractional resurfacing techniques also can go deeper into the epidermis to firm up the deeper collagen and elastin layers. Fractional laser resurfacing machines comprise the Starlux 1540 and 2940, Fraxel, ActiveFx, DeepFx, Profractional, and Affirm machines.

These skin tightening techniques can be used on and are most sufficient on the face. Because integument healing is required, these fractional resurfacing techniques are less sufficient in other areas such as the neck, stomach, and arms.

Lasers are not the rehabilitation of selection for sagging and laxity of the neck, abdomen and arms. These areas wish more heat power that can only be delivered by infrared and radiofrequency machines.

Infrared and Radiofrequency Skin Tightening

The most sufficient covering applied skin tightening machines today use whether radiofrequency or infrared heat power to firm loose and sagging tissue on the neck, arms and tummy. These machines have sophisticated cooling hand pieces to prevent burn injury.

These machines can jab deeply into the dermis, down to 2000 microns where the elastin fibers are most plentiful. These deep treatments are requisite for maximum firming and skin tightening. Commonly available machines are Palomar's LuxIr Deep, Thermage, Titan, and Refirme among many others.

Understand that 4 treatments are usually required for the best supervene with most machines. New collagen and elastin yield will not occur until 6 months after your last treatment, so it takes time to see your final result.

In my opinion, the best results are about a 20-30% improvement. Even better results are potential with higher energies using the LuxIr Deep which has superb new cooling ideas which allows us to more than duplicate the power we are using. The new LuxIr Deep cooling with increased power delivery also shortens the period of treatments.

Still, infrared and radiofrequency machines cannot yet accomplish the same results that I can accomplish with a face lift, tummy tuck, or arm lift.

Laser Liposuction

Recently, new laser liposuction technology called SlimLipo has produced mighty firming of the loose integument and fat while the fat dissolving process. Because the SlimLipo laser fiber is settled under the integument, the laser beam has closer and more direct access to the subcutaneous elastin fibers.

Laser liposuction has been used successfully to firm the loose tummy, loose arm, loose neck, and to firm the hips and thighs. This new laser liposuction formula will be a very foremost in years to come.

Which Skin Tightening formula Is Best For You?

Your selection of a firming formula will depend on how much loose skin you have and where the loose skin is located. If you have wrinkles, sun damage and mild laxity around the cheeks and mouth, then fractional laser skin resurfacing with combined Starlux 1540 and 2940 lasers are your best option.

If you have good skin, and mild to moderate skin laxity of your cheeks, neck, abdomen or arms, the Infrared or radiofrequency skin tightening will give you a 20-30 % result. I use the LuxIr Deep skin infrared skin tightening machine made by Palomar.

If you have both fat and loose skin on your tummy, arms, neck, duplicate chin, hips or thighs, then laser liposuction is your best selection for skin tightening. I use the SlimLipo laser liposuction machine made by Palomar.

How To Find A Doctor

Board certified plastic surgeons and dermatologists are the laser experts, but all board certified plastic surgeons and dermatologists are not experienced in lasers.

Therefore, you will have to do your homework and inquire of the doctors if they are experienced with lasers and laser surgery. It is very foremost to consult an expert. Although the nurse or healing aesthetician may do the infrared or radiofrequency integument firming, the physician who supervises the rehabilitation must understand lasers and light technology. Laser liposuction and laser resurfacing must be done by an experienced physician.

Today there are many non plastic surgeons and dermatologists who advertise laser and light services who are not experts at these techniques. You really need to ask the right questions and investigate. These new technologies can be risky and harmful in fresh hands.

Good places to look are the websites of the following organizations:

American Board of Plastic Surgery (Abps)
American society of Plastic Surgeons (Asps)
American society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (Asaps)

Visit these websites and quest for board certified plastic surgeons in your area. Visit their websites and see if the physician offers laser and non-surgical skin firming treatments. Consult at least two doctors and ask to see photos of results on their own patients. Do not seek skin firming treatments in healing spas that do not have a board certified Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist, experienced in laser surgery, gift on site.

Plastic Surgeons Reconstruct and Mold

Skin Graft Surgery:

The field of plastic surgery was first industrialized as reconstructive surgery to correct disfigurements or injuries. Although the convention had been around for centuries, most early cosmetic surgeries involved skin grafts, a surgical technique that involves removing skin from one part of the body and placing it on other part. The first American plastic surgery was performed in 1827 to correct a cleft palate.

Cosmetic surgery as a specialty evolved tremendously in the 20th century after soldiers came home from war with disfiguring facial injuries. Since then, reconstructive surgeries are still popular, with breast reduction, tumor removal, and laceration repair being the most popular procedures. This type of plastic surgery is typically more invasive, and requires general anesthesia, as well as a hospital stay to recover.

Today, there are a range of cosmetic surgeries that are beyond the scope of reconstructing a disfigured face. The most popular surgeries include breast augmentation, liposuction, and rhinoplasty. Unlike reconstructive surgeries, a number of cosmetic surgeries are not determined major surgery, and most are sick person procedures. These procedures have industrialized to include non-surgical techniques that do not wish production incisions or anesthesia and are performed by plastic surgeons; laser treatments and botox injections are also determined cosmetic surgery, although they are less invasive.

Skin Graft Surgery:Plastic Surgeons Reconstruct and Mold

While some doctors are marvelous to accomplish a number of procedures, most tend to design their skills in one particular procedure. Breast augmentation is one such field where plastic surgeons may chose to focus specifically on this one procedure. Within this very popular field of breast augmentation, a surgeon can then chose to accomplish reconstructive surgeries for patients who have had a mastectomy, or purely cosmetic surgeries. By focusing on one exact procedure, a doctor can design their skills and create more natural finding results. Most, if not all, surgeons will furnish before and after photos of their old patients to demonstrate to newer patients what they can expect with a unavoidable doctor's skill set.

Plastic surgeons are certified board physicians. These specialists are required to attend healing school, perfect a three-year residency schedule and other three-year plastic surgery residency before they can receive their board certifications and convention independently. There are a number of healing boards that specialize in plastic surgery, and each has distinct requirements; while some doctors are certified by one board, others chose to seek certification from each one. Plastic surgeons are still required to have board certifications to accomplish even non-surgical procedures.

Since the improvement of the first surgical techniques, plastic surgery has industrialized into a broad field of medicine that covers patients in need of reconstructive procedures or for those seeking to erase signs of aging, or to augment a exact body feature.

Plastic surgery improvement of Tracheostomy Scars

Skin Graft Surgery:

Tracheostomies frequently follow in unsightly neck scars. Their foremost neck location and the temporary indwelling breathing tube ordinarily leaves a depressed neck scar after its removal. It often looks like a belly button with the skin turned inward. This is known as a tracheal tug although it is the lack of basic soft tissue that makes it look this way.

An undesired looking scar from a tracheostomy can undergo correction within months after a breathing tube has been removed if so desired. Historically, tracheostomy revisions have been done when the scar is more mature. (greater than six months after tube removal) It is not principal to wait this long however. The plastic surgery techniques used are not beyond doubt affected by how mature the tracheostomy scar is. And, for many patients, they would like to eliminate as soon as possible the physical and psychological marks of the taste of why the tracheostomy was there in the first place.

To get a good outcome from a tracheostomy scar revision, there are three basic concepts that must be achieved surgically. First, the turned in skin edges must be released from the deeper tissues and be wholly freed up. Secondly, this release creates a real tissue volume blemish between the skin and the trachea which must be filled in. Lastly, closing the skin must originate a fine line scar that lies in a horizontal direction along a natural neck skin fold. By far, filling in the lost tissue is the hardest one to perform but it beyond doubt principal if one does not want the final follow to have any indentation. Filling in the missing tissue can be done in a range of ways. If the tracheostomy scar is not that deep and fairly shallow, the surrounding skin edges can be used through a technique known as edge de-epithelization. The thinned skin edges are then turned down for a diminutive tissue fill and the full-thickness skin edges complete over it. For tracheostomy scars that are significantly indented, however, more volume is required. I prefer using dermal-fat grafts which can be quite thick if desired, up to 1 cm. A donor site is needed to harvest it and this will leave a scar elsewhere on the body. However, if one has a scar from a former surgery elsewhere that is from a convenient area that has some fat thickness, then this should strongly considered. Otherwise, allogeneic dermal grafts (from cadaver skin) can be used which is an off-the-shelf product.

Skin Graft Surgery:Plastic surgery improvement of Tracheostomy Scars

Tracheostomy scar correction is a fairly straightforward patient procedure. All sutures are settled under the skin so there is none to remove. A fine line red scar will exist for awhile afterwards (months) but this will finally fade into a near indiscernible pencil line thin scar. Again the key to a victorious tracheostomy scar correction is to wholly determine the skin tethering to the trachea and replace any missing tissue.

African American Rhinoplasty

Skin Graft Surgery:

Rhinoplasties (or nose jobs) are becoming increasingly favorite among the African American population. This rise has been attributed by some critics as being due to the Western media defining the 'ideal' nose as being one which is straight, has a narrow bridge, a defined tip and small, refined nostrils. The African American nose is markedly different from this beauty stereotype and it is foremost that the rhinoplasty surgeon, while taking the patients requests into account, strives to furnish a nose which compliments the ethnicity of the face, rather than a 'Westernized' nose which may not suit the patient.

The main differences between an African American nose and the typical Caucasian nose, (sometimes referred to as a 'Roman' nose), is that they are naturally wider and the tip is less defined, giving the nose a flatter appearance. Skin thickness has a bearing on the results of rhinoplasty surgery, and African Americans characteristically have thicker skin than Caucasians.

African American rhinoplasty patients frequently invite surgical operation to narrow the appearance of their nose. This can be achieved by moderately fracturing the nose and meticulously resetting it. This procedure also adds subtle angle to the nose, although some patients prefer a more marked incompatibility and may also wish an implant to define the tip of the nose.

Skin Graft Surgery:African American Rhinoplasty

The definition of the dorsum and the expanding of the angle of the nose is the most requested nose job procedure among this ethnic group. The implants can be made from silicone, but many surgeons favour the use of tissue grafted from elsewhere on the patient's body, as the body is less likely to reject the implant. Typically, this tissue is taken from the septum (inner nose) or the ear.

Sometimes, the nose may have a pronounced 'hump'. If it is very prominent, cartilage can be removed to furnish a straighter nose. If the bump is minor then it may naturally wish filing down.

In non-Caucasian rhinoplasty it is extremely beneficial to seek out a surgeon with palpate of operating on ethnic groups. An experienced and extremely skilled practitioner is primary for ensuring that the final succeed is a nose which meets the patient's wishes, but also which compliments the other facial features. Some rhinoplasty patients have strangeness adjusting to their new look nose, sometimes foremost to depression or revision rhinoplasty to restore the nose to its old appearance. The risk of adverse psychological succeed is increased if the face loses its ethnicity due to a surgeon producing a nose which is too 'Westernised' in its appearance.

Whatever the media may suggest, there is no 'ideal' when it comes to a gorgeous nose. The most remarkable nose is one that looks harmonious with the rest of the face, and this can be achieved through acceptable discussions with your rhinoplasty surgeon before undergoing the operation.

Hair Transplant Cloning: The Next Hair Transplant Technology

Skin Graft Surgery:

Hairs transplants are the most permanent clarification to balding men and women. By using hair from the back and temples and transplanting these to the bald area, you can put your hair back in no time. But the qoute is, the transplant is not qualified for patients with severe baldness. They need more hair, and putting the extra hairs is not enough. So if hair transplant cloning would be fully developed, it will be their solution.

There are two distinct methods of hair transplant, the Fue and the Strip Harvesting. Strip Harvesting works by cutting a large strip of hair, tissues and skin on the back scalp. This large strip will be cut into small units which are called as Follicular Unit Grafts. Then the grafts are to be inserted into the bald skin. Fue or Follicular Unit extraction works by plucking the hairs one by one at the back. And then such hair will be settled into the bald area. Both are effective; however, for severe baldness, these methods are not enough. Hair transplant could only cover 25% to 50% of the balding areas; if the doctor adds more hair, then he must passage the hair at the back, which will lead to trauma or the permanent balding of that area. That is why scientists need to find new ways to advance hair transplant procedures, and cloning is one of the possible solutions.

Cloning is the process of development an additional one organism. Scientists did that many years before with a sheep, and the cloned sheep is named Dolly. Dream what these cloned hair can do to balding people. Since the amount of hair is no more limited, habitancy can enjoy a more painless surgery.

Skin Graft Surgery:Hair Transplant Cloning: The Next Hair Transplant Technology

The qoute that the scientists face is how to clone a particular hair follicle or root and multiply it. Hair follicle is not a living organism but a set of cells, and therefore scientists must find a way to copy that growing function. Scientists found a possible clarification by growing hair first in a donor skin and multiply these and later, this will be used to implant to the balding area. an additional one clarification would be by splitting the hair in half and this one hair seashore will come to be two. But the good news is, the strands will go by your natural hair color regardless of how they are attained.

How Can Fat Transfers accurate My Under-Eye Circles, Hollow Cheeks, and Sunken Features?

Skin Graft Surgery:

Some population are born with plainly full faces, while others may have a sunken face, particularly nearby the eyes and cheekbones. For many people, what was once a youthful, full face develops volume deficiencies due to aging and gravity. The cheeks may begin to droop, creating circles under the eyes and hollowness in the midface. Fat transfers are an exquisite explication for correcting volume and contour issues, as they are wholly natural and come from your own body, production them biologically safe. Fat transfers are often complimented by other procedures, such as eyelid surgery and lower face and neck lifting.

How Do Fat Transfers Work?

Fat transfers, also called fat grafting and fat injections, soften facial features by correcting facial deficiencies. Fat is harvested from other part of the body, such as the abdomen, buttocks, or thighs - the harvest site depends on the recipient's individual needs. Harvesting can be done through local anesthesia and may heighten the shape of the harvest area. This is done with fine comfort. The harvested fat, which may be called fat pearls, are living grafts from your own body. These are transferred into regions of the face through very small cannulas and a tiny poke in the skin. These sites heal without a scar. Approximately 70% of the transferred fat survives creating long-term benefits. The fat is delivered very certainly using as series of specially shaped microcannulas designed specifically for this purpose. The number of fat injected depends on the shape of your face and the volume of the deficiencies. The fat is regularly placed under the subcutaneous fat already gift just under the face of your skin or adjacent to the facial musculature agreeing to the Fami technique based on the surgeon's artistic judgment, so the ultimate results appear wholly natural.

Skin Graft Surgery:How Can Fat Transfers accurate My Under-Eye Circles, Hollow Cheeks, and Sunken Features?

Fat injections are safe because your body cannot reject the transfers or have an allergic reaction to them. Since this policy uses your own fat cells, the body accepts these transfers as a biological match.

When Do I Need Fat Transfers?

There is no universal rejoinder to this question. You will need an individual consultation to find out which filling method(s) are most appropriate. Juvederm and Restylane injections may be appropriate, but if they don't get the job done or are inappropriate to your needs, then fat injections may be an alternative. Fat grafting is an exquisite option when the face needs more volume than can be Approximately done with the other facial fillers. Fat grafting can be particularly helpful in areas like the midface, cheek, jawline and brows. If you have areas of hollowness in the cheek and bags, circles, or sunken areas nearby the eyes, you may be an exquisite candidate for fat transfers. If your face looks hard and aged rather than soft and full, fat transfers may benefit you. The required policy depends on many factors, such as the natural shape of your face, the thickness of each region of your skin, how much soft tissue is present, what kind of deficit you have, and of policy the unique needs of your face. In some cases more than one filling method may be appropriate. Only an experienced surgeon who specializes in improving facial aesthetics will be able to tell you for sure. Ultimately, there is no substitute for a personal consultation.

The curative Process

People receiving facial fat transfers see results right away but it is prominent to remember that swelling and bruising after treatment is normal. Typically the bruising lasts about 10 days and most feel ready to return to work at that point. Swelling of some degree may persist for any weeks. A key to peace of mind after your policy is to allow yourself time to heal. Fat pearls and fat transfers plainly heal with a somewhat lumpy firmness. You will consideration this when you feel the treated locations with your hands but it is unusual to see the processes at the skin surface. This is most noticeable at weeks 4 to 6 and then slowly resolves. Typically by four months this firmness as wholly resolved.

Your physician will go over the curative process with you and help you understand what to expect. Although you are bruised after surgery, you will find that you are remarkably comfortable. Downtime is regularly about 10 days, although confident activities, such as intense perceive sports should be avoided to 2 weeks.

Since fat pearls and fat transfers are 100% natural and come directly from your own body, the exchange region will accept the new cells with results that typically last longer than other filling methods.

Skin Graft Surgery:

There are assorted reasons rhinoplasty must be undertaken for reconstructive needs to remedy certain damage or injuries. When patients find themselves requiring this surgery to remedy such a trauma, they are quite thankful of the technology that makes it possible.

The most common need for reconstructive rhinoplasty comes from traumatic injuries sustained in an urgency of some kind. Often times, the urgency causes nasal cartilage and bones to be shattered, displaced and disrupted. When this occurs it is principal to reconstruct the cartilage and bones with ear or rib cartilage and cranial bone. Some of the most difficult and radical procedures follow from heavily traumatic accidents such as this, but they would ordinarily never be necessary.

Sometimes a nose collapses because of a perforation in the septum caused by specific diseases such as Wegener's Granulomatosis Sarcoidosis, Churg-Strauss Syndrome and Relapsing Polychondritis or from greatest abuse of drugs such as spray nasal decongestants and cocaine. This septum perforation ordinarily causes a collapse of the dorsum that can only be corrected with the use of rib cartilage and bone grafts.

Skin Graft Surgery:Reconstructive Rhinoplasty - How Does it Help?

Many patients find that a secondary rhinoplasty is principal after their initial surgery caused an unforeseeable breathing obstruction. This obstruction is caused by too much trimming of the nose cartilage causing a smaller air tube and less relax in breathing. Reconstructive surgery can lengthen the tip or widen the base of the nose to facilitate better breathing.

The appearance of a skin carcinoma on the nose can need reconstructive rhinoplasty as well. Following the excision of the cancerous tissue there is a need to replace the lost skin and sometimes the cartilage underneath the excision. The use of skin grafts and pedicle flap techniques can restore the nose to it's former appearance following cancer treatment.

Rosacea is a skin health that causes Rhinophyma in its final stages. This Rosacea is a form of acne that causes a thickening and swelling of the nose accompanied by redness. Regular acne rehabilitation can get rid of the redness and swelling, but the tip of the nose is often permanently thickened causing a deformity. Doctors currently apply laser rehabilitation to cut down on the thickened skin at the tip of the nose.

Thousands of habitancy every year face healing challenges that need them to endure reconstructive rhinoplasty. With the help of well trained doctors, a outpatient can get back the dignity of their former appearance and allow themselves to perfect the inner healing process.

Acne Acarring Got You Down? There's Help

Skin Graft Surgery:

Acne scar discharge is commonly quite difficult to get away with in today's image known society. Meaning, acne scares are one of the most prevalent of skin conditions that, with permissible treatment, may be wholly curable. The difficulties often reported in removing or 'lessening' of acne scars roots from the chronic health of the skin disease. The crater-like texture of the ice pick scars are the most prevalent. They often appear on the face, shoulders, arms, and buttocks. Methods have been industrialized for removing and smoothening the scars left by acne depending on the health condition, age and severity of the acne-inflicted skin tissues.

The mildest form of acne that afflicts most people does not leave long term scars. If a relatively mild, or even severe, acne does leave scars they will commonly heal over time. Scars left by nodulycystic acne (acne consisting of 'nodules' in the skin) may leave scars that are deep-seated into the skin tissue. There are some reasonably productive treatments for this form of acne also.

There are skin pigmentations that may appear like scars but in actuality, are scar-related spots. The cause of these inflamed acne 'abrasions' are caused from macules which is a pseudo-scar. It is the final stage in the curative process of most inflamed acne lesions. They commonly appear like flat, red spots.

Skin Graft Surgery:Acne Acarring Got You Down? There's Help

Macules commonly do not leave any traces behind once they have wholly vanished but may take some time before they wholly disappear. This is a natural curative process that should be taken into list when evaluating the wide curative process.

Two categories of acne scars are grouped based on the shape of the tissue. Scars that consist of increased skin tissue and the other which is characterized by a decrease in the tissue. The overgrowth in scar tissue is termed as keloids, which is of African-American origin while the more common form is the ice-pick scar. You can enumerate more detailed data on acne by visiting TheAcneGuide.com.

Qualifying for acne scar discharge is first considered by a physician straight through your health status. It is foremost that you are not presently affected by diseases or have a pre-existing health or you might be declined for further procedures.

Considering that you are qualified, the physician may still delay your performance if acne flares up while this period. Until the pre-existing acne health disappears or until the possibility of contamination with other body parts are set under control your scheduled rehabilitation may be moved to an additional one time. If this health persists, your physician may give you medications as a making ready of your acne treatment.

Doctors consider some acne scars as totally non-removable. The skin of the acne-afflicted patient may not recover as it was before the onset of the skin disease, but may give expansive improvements.

Several methods of lessening acne scars have been industrialized by dermatologists and these may also help in complete scar removal:

The skin's top layers may be removed by a physician using an grinder instrument called an electric sander. This dermabrasion leaves the skin smooth and salutary after a period of reddening.

A punch graft is an additional one recipe of removing scars. Small patches of the skin from an additional one body part are implanted to the deep holes made by the acne scars. Depending on the estimate of skin needed for the transplant this will commonly come from the ear lobe or upper part of the thigh.

Doctors commonly recommend chemical peels if the health of the acne scar is not severe. After removing the top layers of the skin the chemical will allow a regeneration of the skin tissue on the affected area.

Collagens are also used to replace severely damaged or destroyed pores and cells. Collagens are commonly injected into the skin.

Laser treatment, steroid injection, and plastic surgery for severe cases are other methods of acne scar removal.

In any case, we recommend visiting a licensed dermatologist to enumerate the particulars of your case and to recommend the best possible course of rehabilitation to take off your acne scars.

The History of Plastic surgical operation

Skin Graft Surgery:

The popularity of plastic surgery procedures is a trend that continues to grow, as men and women alike effort to enhance their corporal appearance and eliminate what they view as cosmetic flaws.

So where did plastic surgery begin? In this brief article, I'll by comparison exactly where cosmetic surgery got it's start and how it has evolved over the years.

Plastic surgery well dates back to the 700s Bce. In India, Doctors began to use skin grafts for reconstructive work as early as the 8th century Bc. A well-known physician named Sushruta Samhita documented detailed descriptions of rhinoplasty and otoplasty.

Skin Graft Surgery:The History of Plastic surgical operation

The Romans were also complicated in the starting days of cosmetic surgery. There began performing surgeries to repair damaged ears around the 1st century Bc. Because of the dangers related with surgeries of any form, especially those that complicated the head or facial area, it wasn't until the 19th and 20th centuries that this became more commonplace.

Naturally, the early cases of cosmetic surgery were quite painful due to a lack of anesthesia. Practitioners were able to avoid infection any way once disinfectants and sterilization techniques were introduced. The invention of antibiotics was also a dramatic step transmit in the world of surgical procedures.

Dr. John Peter Mettauer was the United State's first plastic surgeon and in 1827, he successfully performed the very first cleft palate surgery. These procedures prolonged to grow in popularity during the 20th century in the U.S.

As you can see, plastic surgery isn't exactly a new procedure. It has been around for ages and will continue to grow in popularity as new techniques are introduced. Some of the most popular procedures today comprise laser surgery, dermabrasion, liposuction, rhinoplasty (nose jobs), chemical peel, abdominoplasty (tummy tucks), rhytidectomy (face lifts), and breast augmentation.

Fat Injections For Buttock Enhancement

Skin Graft Surgery:

Enhancement of the buttocks is most consistently done with a gluteal implant. Despite its predictable revising in the size and shape of the buttocks, buttock implants are not without complications. Intramuscular implant placement makes saving more uncomfortable and having to sit on the implant predisposes it to positional shifting and the formation of fluid collections and potential infection.

Because of these concerns, the alternative medicine of fat injections or free fat grafting has emerged. Fat grafting to the buttocks has numerous potential advantages such as the elimination of the need for a synthetic implant, the use of a patient's own body tissues, an easier saving with few limitations, a simultaneous advantage of cosmetic enhancement of the donor site, and a very low risk of bleeding or infection. All of these advantages of free fat fat grafting is counterbalanced by one primary disadvantage....an unpredictability of after surgery shape and size. How much fat survives and is retained is widely variable. No plastic surgeon can certify or predict with 100% accuracy how much fat will survive on a consistent basis. I prefer to inject no more than about 300cc per buttock as I think much volume than that results in greater volume loss.

The burning quiz, through the past any decades is...how to make fat grafting work better. The injection technique is, of course, prominent but is only half of the answer. How the fat is prepared after harvest in the operating room is the other half. Everyone agrees that attention is very prominent after harvest. This is the mechanical process of removing the liquids from the more solid fat components. Whether this is done by a centrifuge or passing the fat aspirate through a strainer or sieve are two methods of which one has not been proven to be best than the other. Additives to the fat are theoretically consuming but there is no universal magical additive. Currently, I add platelet-rich plasma (Prp) to the concentrated fat prior to injection. Whether this aids fat survival is not proven but since it is a stock of the patient, there is no risk in so doing. Prp is a incorporate of a patient's own blood done at the time of surgery. While there is no standardized whole of Prp to add to fat, I typically use 3cc of Prp per buttock graft site.

Skin Graft Surgery:Fat Injections For Buttock Enhancement

If a outpatient opts for buttock augmentation with fat injections, they must accept that the whole of fat that will survive is unpredictable. It may need more than one injection session to collect the best result. Most fat grafting methods will not perform the degree of volume enhancement that a gluteal implant will.

rehabilitation of Dark Circles Under the Eyes

Skin Graft Surgery:

Effective rehabilitation for extraction of dark circles under the eyes must be directed at the basal cause of the dark circles. Millions of people complain of dark circles under the eyes but the basal cause of the dark circles varies greatly. Treatments for dark circles that do not literal, the basal cause of the dark circle do not work. There is an foreseen, array of treatments for dark circles along with cucumber slices, tea bags, vanishing creams, bleaching creams, lasers, surgery, more sleep, avoid Tv and computer, drink 2 liters of water a day etc, yet few of these regimens seem to be directed at the basal cause of the dark circles under the eyes.

To great understand the rehabilitation of dark circles under the eyes I will discuss the varied types of dark circles under the eyes that I encounter in my plastic surgery practice and my understanding of the cause of the dark circles, and what I feel is the most effective rehabilitation to take off the dark circles under the eyes.

Understand that the eyelid skin appears darker than the surrounding facial skin in all people-this is the general health and is caused by shadows created by the overhanging brow and the fact that the eyelid skin is much thinner than the surrounding facial skin. Below I am talking about exaggerated dark circles under the eyes that cause people to be unhappy with their appearance.

Skin Graft Surgery:rehabilitation of Dark Circles Under the Eyes

Causes of Dark Circles under the Eyes

Thin Eyelid Skin

The eyelid skin is the thinnest in the body and many people with dark circles under the eyes have very thin skin on their eyelids and around the eyes. This thin skin is an inherited trait. The dark circles under the eyes are caused by the fact that the purple color of the basal eyelid muscle shows straight through the thin skin and creates a bluish or purple color. The color is darkest near the nose and on the lower eyelid near the nose.

Treatment of dark circles under the eyes caused by thin skin is very difficult because it is very difficult to make your inherited skin thicker. Cover up make up like Jayne Iredale Eye Cover, Dermablend, and Covermark are very helpful and my first recommendation. Frequent microdermabrasion and Retin A cream over a long period of time will build new collagen in the skin will thicken the skin and furnish some improvement.

There are new lasers on the horizon which are very effective at stimulating new growth of collagen in the skin and these new technologies may prove very beneficial. Be sure to sign up for my free newsletter to be informed when these new technologies are available.

The Arcus Deformity discussed below creates a very severe dark circle in people with thin eyelid skin and correction of the Arcus deformity with Arcus publish and fat grafting can be very helpful rehabilitation for dark circles under the eye in these individuals.

Prominent Eyelid Blood vessels and Veins

Everyone has veins and blood vessels called capillaries in their eyelid skin. In many people however the veins are very important and the blood vessels add to the dark color of the eyelid.

To diagnose this cause of dark circles look in a mirror with lively light on your face and slowly pull the skin of the lower eyelid tight. You will see many tiny branching red and blue lines which relate blood vessels.

You need blood vessels and veins to keep your eyelid wholesome and alive. however when there is an plenty of smaller vessels which create a bluish or purplish hue to the lower eyelid some new Ipl (Intense Pulsed Light) or laser therapies can be used to treat dark circles under the eyes in people with an excess of small capillaries and blood vessels. The very large veins cannot be treated.

Laser blood vessel rehabilitation is a serious and potentially perilous rehabilitation for dark circles under the eyes and must be performed by a doctor who is experienced in the use of lasers and Ipl. Most importantly the eye must be protected by placing a shield over the eye during rehabilitation so that the laser or Ipl light cannot hit the eye. The laser and Ipl light can damage the retina and destroy vision if the beams hit the unprotected eye.

Pigmentation of the Eyelids

Hyper pigmentation, too much pigment in the skin of the eyelid is a very tasteless cause of dark circles under the eyes. rehabilitation of dark circles under the eyes caused by hyper pigmentation is very effective, but the pigment often returns after sun exposure.

Hyper pigmentation of the lower eyelids occurs because of sun exposure and arresting with sun block, sun glasses, and a hat are the most important first rehabilitation for this type of dark circles under the eyes.

The rehabilitation of hyper pigmentation begins with bleaching creams such as a aggregate of Retin A and 4% Hydroquinone, Obagi Blender 5, Epiquin or other prescribe bleaching cream combined with microdermabrasion.

After the above treatments have lessened the pigmentation causing the dark circles under the eyes, if essential I stride to Ipl (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments. These treatments do effectively take off pigment causing the dark circle but again feel and eye protection are very essential to prevent eye injury.

Hollow Eyes

Many people have a deep hollow below the lower eyelid which creates a dark shadow below the eyelid which people call dark circles under the eyes.

This deep hollow below the lower eyelid is caused by an inherited deficiency of fat and or bone and rehabilitation of this type of dark circle under the eye requires surgery.

The hollow eye occurs more ordinarily in people from Central Asia and the Middle East but it indeed occurs in all races and from people in all regions of the world.

To treat dark circles under the eyes in people who have hollow eyes I do a laser procedure called an Arcus Marginalis publish and fat grafting. The Arcus Marginalis is a structure which tethers the lower eyelid to the bone and creates a dark circle when the eyelid skin above the dark circle falls over the dark circle creating a shadow. Releasing the Arcus Marginalis releases the eyelid skin and eliminates the crease or dark circle.

I then transplant fat to fill the hollow in the bone and plump the dark circle and literal, the hollow eye appearance.

Usually, to treat the dark circle under the eyes caused by the hollow eye I have to take fat from around the belly button on the abdomen to have sufficient fat to adequately fill the hollow eye deformity. The incision to take off the fat is well secret down inside the belly button and is ordinarily not visible.

Treatment of dark circles under the eyes caused by the hollow eye ordinarily takes me 45 minutes to an hour, can be done with you asleep or awake, and rescue is ordinarily 10 days. Patients do not complain of pain afterwards. The main rescue is waiting for bruising to go away and blurred vision from eye ointment that I have you use for the first week or two. Most importantly after this rehabilitation you need to be calm, rest and not exert yourself. Working out or heavy lifting can raise your blood pressure and cause bleeding. Although you will be up and around the first few days with sunglasses to cover your bruising, I do not want you to exercise or lift heavy objects for at least 2 weeks.

The Arcus Deformity-the True dark Circle under the Eye

The most tasteless cause of dark circles under the eyes in patients who seek rehabilitation of dark circles under the eyes in my plastic surgery practice is the Arcus Deformity.

The Arcus Deformity is a dark crescent shaped circle or depression which occurs below the lower eyelid beginning beside the nose in the angle of the eye and running out toward the side of the face and curving upward towards the covering angle of the eye.

The Arcus Deformity is caused by the fact that a small structure below the lower eyelid called the Arcus Marginalis is attached to the bone of the eye socket and also attached to the lower eyelid from underneath. This attachment tethers or holds the eyelid close to the bone of the eye socket while the rest of the lower eyelid is loose and free to move. The general fat which is below the eyeball pushes out against the lower eyelid which creates a illustrated bulge on the lower eyelid. You can see this by closing one eye and slowly pressing on the terminated eye. With your other eye you will see the bulging of the fat against the terminated lower eyelid on the other side.

The eyelid skin that is tethered by the Arcus Marginalis cannot move or bulge, and as the fat bulges the lower eyelid above the Arcus Marginalis it creates a shadow or dark circle below the eyelid where the Arcus Marginalis is attached to the lower eyelid skin. This is the true dark circle under the eyes.

As we age and our eyelid skin becomes loose or lax, the eyelid skin also falls or sags over the depression caused by the Arcus deformity and the dark circle gets worse. With aging and excess protrusion of fat against the lower eyelid the Arcus deformity can become quite pronounced.

The Arcus Deformity is the true dark circle under the eye and I use the term Arcus Deformity to differentiate it from the Tear Trough Deformity which is different. The Tear Trough Deformity starts near the angle of the eye in the same location as the Arcus Deformity but the Tear Trough Deformity runs down into the cheek rather than up toward the covering angle of the eye.

The Tear Trough Deformity is a sign of industrialized facial aging and is caused by the sagging or descent of the cheek into the middle of the face which occurs with facial aging in your 50's and 60's. Tears run down the cheek and out the side of the face straight through the Tear Trough instead of right down the cheek as they do in a child.

By distinction the Arcus Deformity occurs in much younger patients along with children. Most people seeking rehabilitation for dark circles under the eyes in my plastic surgery practice are in their 20's and 30's. Doctors often misdiagnose the Arcus Deformity as the Tear Trough Deformity which is a major qoute if a Tear Trough Implant is used to treat the dark circle. The Tear Trough Implant is designed to plump or literal, the depression in the cheek out toward the side of the face, and in my feel the Tear Trough Implant cannot adequately literal, the dark circle under the eye where it is deepest, near the angle of the lower eyelid near the nose.

The rehabilitation for dark circles under the eyes caused by the Arcus Deformity must include publish of the Arcus Marginalis and fat repositioning or fat grafting to plump the area of the dark circle.

The former plastic surgery rehabilitation for eyelid rejuvenation called the blepharoplasty, during which fat is removed, can indeed make dark circles under the eyes worse and create a hollowed eye appearance.

Treatment of dark circles under the eyes that are caused by the Arcus deformity requires a contemporary blepharoplasty approach which includes publish of the Arcus Marginalis and fat repositioning or fat grafting.

I use a very exact rehabilitation for dark circles under the eyes called the transconjunctival blepharoplasty with Arcus publish and fat grafting. This rehabilitation is done straight through a tiny incision on the inside of the eyelid called a transconjunctival incision because it goes straight through the conjunctiva, the pink tissue on the inside of the lower eyelid. I also use the laser to make this incision.

The benefits of the laser transconjunctival incision are:

1. No illustrated scar or incision on the covering of the eyelid

2. No turn in the shape of the lower eyelid-the former scalpel blepharoplasty straight through an external incision ordinarily weakens the lower eyelid and causes a sad eyed look

3. Less bleeding during surgery

4. Less bruising after surgery

5. Quicker recovery

My results following rehabilitation of dark circles under the eyes with the laser transconjunctival blepharoplasty with Arcus Marginalis publish and fat grafting have been very successful. Most patients have recovered within a week and many who do not bruise are comfortable being seen with make up after 5 days.

Summary- rehabilitation of Dark Circles under the Eyes

To summarize, effective rehabilitation of dark circles under the eyes requires that you literal, the qoute that is causing the dark circle under the eye. To perform this you must understand what type of dark circle under the eye you have and what is causing it. The following is a overview table:

Thin eyelid skin-Retin A, microdermabrasion, laser?

Prominent Eyelid Blood Vessels-Ipl, Laser

Pigmentation of the Eyelid-Bleaching creams, Ipl, laser, Microdermabrasion

Hollow Eyes-Arcus Marginalis publish and fat Grafting

Arcus deformity-Transconjunctival laser Blepharoplasty with Arcus publish and fat grafting or repositioning

Treatment of dark circles under the eyes is possible; the key is understanding the basal cause of your dark circles. With allowable analysis and rehabilitation of dark circles under the eyes caused by the Arcus deformity beautiful results can be achieved with the transconjunctival Arcus publish and fat grafting.

Anal Fistula - rehabilitation and rescue

Skin Graft Surgery:

An abnormal connection of one part of the body to other is called a fistula. When such linkage occurs in the anus it is called an anal fistula. This is a connection between the interior anal canal and the skin towards the surface of the anus. There are many kinds of anal fistulae and they may occur for a collection of reasons like infection, abscess, pus or other diseases. It is ordinarily seen in patients suffering from inflammatory bowel diseases.

Common symptoms of an anal fistula would be pain, tenderness, swelling, and irritation in the anal region. Itching may also be experienced. The infection may also cause slight fever, tiredness, chills, and weakness. One may not feel like eating heavy or spicy food and might feel uncomfortable.

The curative of this abnormality is not natural.

Skin Graft Surgery:Anal Fistula - rehabilitation and rescue

Either the sufferer will need medication or he will need a surgery to be performed.

The medication that may be administered would mainly consist of antibiotics. When straightforward medication does not work, a surgery would have to be performed. A surgery for the anal fistulae gift in the lower end of the digestive canal is called Fistulotomy.

The policy is simple. The surgeon will originate an incision on the fistula tube. He will then merge it with the region of the rectum where it is connected. The zone is hence sealed and supplementary abnormal transportation between the regions is stopped. Undue passed of blood or other body fluids is restricted. Consequently, the region will heal.

The policy is ordinarily carried out under local anesthesia, when the abnormality linkage is not very large. However, when a large anal fistula has formed, it may become inescapable to carry out a more construe surgical procedure.

For instance, when the channel is relatively deep inside the body, a Seton may be used. A Seton is a type of suture material which is used to tie the abnormal tract. A loop is formed which tightens over a period of time. This results in curing. Alternatively, Fibrin glue may be used to form a clot in the tract to seal it. In a complex condition, the Endorectal Advancement Flap method may be used. Here, a part of the rectal wall is dissected and a flap is created which is used to cover the internal opening. Subsequently, one of the curative products called the Anal Fistula Plug can be used. This is a conical unit made up of advanced tissue graft which promotes tissue growth in the affected area.

Hence, despite pain and anxiety, one may be reassured that the condition is curable and one can surely restore a wholesome life.
